Is Grubhub undergoing brand changes, e.g. I’m seeing campuses with orange signage?

Grubhub joined forces with Just Eat Takeaway.com (JET) in June to become one of the world’s largest online food delivery companies.

Now as a part of JET, Grubhub will update its branding from red to orange and incorporate the house icon seen across JET’s portfolio of brands. This aligns the look and feel of Grubhub with JET’s global brand to create consistency and make the most of marketing efforts and sponsorships that increasingly cross borders, such as JET’s sponsorship of the UEFA European Championship and Grubhub’s sponsorship of the Concacaf Gold Cup.

What does that mean for Grubhub?

Grubhub will continue to run just as it always has with the same commitment to making it easier to feed your students. In other words: new color, same Grubhub you love.

When will we start to see the new logo and color?

Diners will begin to see Grubhub’s new look across the app and website over the coming months, the same timeline you’ll notice this change in the OneView dashboard and across the Campus product suite.

How does this impact us?

The rollout across each campus will be more gradual since it involves swapping out signage. We will work with you to schedule a time for the update that is most convenient for you and your team.

Who will pay for the new signage?

Grubhub will audit, order, and pay for all replacement signs and materials. We’ll let you know when to expect deliveries so you can schedule installs as soon as we have that information.

When should new campus signage be in place?

Your Client Success Manager will work with you to outline an audit plan and installation schedule that allows you to replace existing signage during a time your students are not on campus, e.g. winter break.

What if we open new shops before the updated signage is installed?

Any new shop materials and signage requests will roll out in the new Grubhub orange.

What if our campus is unable to hang orange signage, i.e. orange is a rival college’s color?

We can offer grayscale options to fully support your campus community and its needs. There will be the opportunity to confirm orange or request grayscale signage before placing orders.

How can I get help when this happens?

Talk with your Client Success Manager —they’ll make sure you have the support you need to do this.

If we already deployed orange signage this fall, how does this impact us?

If you currently have orange signage in place, there is no further action required by you.
